As the season reached its last scheduled Saturday the top two fought out a closely contested if rather tedious match that ended with Andy Beattie scoring the only goal of the game for Merstham Newton against Holland Sports.

Monday 28 April 2008 & Tuesday 29 April 2008

Last Monday in the Premier Division St Francis Flyers won 2-0 at Three Bridges A. The following evening champions Holland Sports completed their successful campaign with a 2-1 defeat of Maidenbower Village.

On the seasons final Saturday St Francis Flyers maintained their improved on-of-season form by holding Phoenix United to a 2-2 draw. In a brilliant game Flyers took the lead very early but were quickly pegged back by Scott Cullimores bullet header. Flyers regained the lead before halftime but after the break Johnny Gallagher made it 2-2 with a fierce low drive into the corner from outside the box. In the final minute Phoenix nearly grabbed all the points but Victor Williams tremendous volley was finger-tipped over the bar by the superb Flyers keeper. For good measure referee David Cole also enjoyed a top class game.
